FAQ: How Do I Know if My Baby Has Had Enough Breastmilk?
As new parents, it's completely normal to wonder if your baby is getting enough breastmilk! Here are some signs to look for:
Steady Weight Gain: One of the best indicators is consistent weight gain. After the first week, your baby should be gaining around 4-7 ounces per week.
Wet & Dirty Diapers: Expect at least 6+ wet diapers and 3-4 dirty diapers daily after the first week.
Content After Feeding: Babies who are full tend to appear relaxed and content after feeding. If your baby looks satisfied and calm, that's a great sign!
Good Muscle Tone: A well-nourished baby will be alert and active when awake and have good muscle tone.
Breast Changes: After a successful feeding, you may notice that your breasts feel softer and less full.
